Clerois will make very short work of that area and should slow down production enough to make the Titan fire less often. It is guarded by Titan turrets with more Disperses to cover air targets, but they do not cover the Arkycite-rich area next to the core itself. Thorium is obtainable when the northern core is destroyed. You can also attack the small Elude-producing base in the nook of the Slag lake. Knock out the Disperse and have your Averts sweep in. The top base where Stell and Eludes are produced can be attacked by having your ships go through the Slag lake and into a weak spot to the left of the base where only one Breach guards the entrance. Once you start you should first set up Chemical Combustion Chambers at the nearby Arkycite pond and arrange a layer of Diffuses to defend it, then build up Eludes and Avert. While this sector is intimidating, the truly threatening units do not come until over an hour into the sector, at which point you should have one of the unit assemblers running. If the central core is destroyed and no block has taken its place (specifically the tile at (356, 306)), an explosion will occur in the gap between the east and southeastern base, followed by a wave of 5 Precepts and Anthicus. The southern one is heated by Electric Heaters, while the eastern one uses Neoplasia Reactors, making said reactor a valuable target for both disabling the turret and its explosive effect. The eastern and southern cores are guarded by Malign turrets, which are extremely dangerous against your units. An Arkycite deposit is between the north and northwest early enemy bases. To help you fight the early bases, the starting structures include a Ship Fabricator. Your starting area has Tungsten isolated on an island in the western slag lake, which requires a payload system or the Unit Cargo Loader to transport it to your core. The sector has low-level cores near the northern side of the map, while the central, southern and eastern enemy bases are extremely dangerous, being the site of the production of Tier 4 and 5 units.
